Jacob Hogencamp Jr., a resident of the Town of Wallkill, was sentenced at the Orange County Courthouse to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty late last year to a felony count of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child. He was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release.
Hogencamp admitted to abusing a girl under the age of 13 and attempting to sexually abuse a teenage boy.
According to the Times Herald-Record, the boy spoke at sentencing on the victims’ behalf, saying that “(Hogencamp) tried to kill our innocence and tear us apart. He failed.”
Hogencamp also reportedly offered to buy the girl a car in an effort to get her to change her testimony. Hogencamp didn’t speak during his sentencing.
